Week 8 highlights

This week we finally finished our puppets!!! We were really busy making outfits, making more hair and much more. But thanks to Mr. Kelly we got them finished fast! So we thanked him for helping us. We made him cards! We made him go out of the class room for a bit and used colours and paper to decorate them! Miss. H got some chocolates and surprised him with them after lunch. This week we also did some tennis with our coach Hans. We learnt how and about the 4 hand, but it turns out that for the 4 hand you only use 1 hand! Some of us said we use 4 hands! Haha!  We enjoyed having a challenge against each other, our coaches were Mr. Kelly and Miss.H. Hans was keeping track of the points. We also did some shopping role playing! We loved being shopkeepers and customers! The boys were the customers and the girls were the shopkeepers. We also did some more  code cracking for the L.G.L (Little Garden League) It said…..  ‘‘The secret is out. The little garden league has been discovered. Fellow Members stay alert. Our seedlings must survive.Teach others in your whanau to protect and care for their seedling.’’ - Little garden league, code 2  2020. The clue is.... ‘‘Remember your pledge’’

Congratulations to...

Freya, Alyssa and Claudia For their amazing work this week!

Little Garden League

We were so lucky to receive a complete set of seeds from New World to start growing our own little class garden!

How to grow the plants

  1. We got a little box.
  2. We used the soil that was in the box and we put it into a plastic cup.
  3. Then we mixed it with water with our fingers until it got soft.
  4. When it was nicely mixed we put the soil into a little pot.
  5. After that we put the little paper that had seeds in it and put some more soil on top.
  6. The next day the teacher watered the little plants.

When the plants started to grow some days later they looked very good and healthy. I really liked the look of the plants because some of the plants are tall already! And that is very surprising.

Check out our Rhyppet stories

This is the Rhyppets! They are puppets with story cards about them. The characters are Jack and Jill, Baa Baa black sheep, Mary had a little lamb, Little Miss Muffet and the Muffin Man

I enjoyed this because I liked thinking of ideas and twist's for the story.

Logo

We are learning how to create a logo that will hook people in to our product. We want to raise as much money as possible and sell all the puppets we have created.

We enjoyed designing the logos and using the curve line to make our own digital puppets.

Do you think our logos are eye catching and why?

Week 3 highlights

This week we did a lot of thinking about our puppets.

We came up with a name and a theme. We are going to create puppets that match some popular nursery rhymes. We also wrote some stories with a story line relating to these nursery rhymes. We will call them 'Rhyppets - Rhyming Puppets'.

We are going to make The Muffin Man, Mary had a little Lamb, Baa Baa Black Sheep, Little Miss Muffet and Jack and Jill.

We had a lot of fun designing and starting the the creating process.

Here is  sneak peak of one of the stories.

And here is the logo we will use!
