Duffy Assembly

Today Toby Morris came to our school  to hand out our Duffy Books. Toby Morris is an illustrator and an author! He has drawn many things that are sold in shops, like the picture on the Edmond Baking Powder box.

He has also written a couple of books we can't wait to read and illustrated some of the stories in the School Journals we have read.

Toby showed us some of the things he had drawn and some of the books  he had illustrated. Then he drew a monster made from the things we told! Check it out in the slide!

We love getting our Duffy books and really love reading in Room 1!

Compare and contrast

We are learning to compare stories to see what is the same and what is different.
We enjoy watching and reading different stories and hearing different points of view.

Have you listened to these stories?

Puppet Time

We are learning to retell stories using puppets.

We also enjoy using the puppets to make up a show to help us with our writing ideas.

Keep an eye on our blogs to see some videos of us doing puppet shows!

Do you like to play with puppets?
