Learning to read and write new words

In the classroom the children enjoy finding words around the classroom and have started using them in their writing. J

I am sure the children would enjoy finding words around the home as well. In the back of their homework books is a list of words. I will be updating what they know this week and then if you like you can use some unknown words to place around the house. As they learn these it would be great if you put up another word. Move the words around every few days so you know they have learnt them and not memorised. 

We also have word groups where we help each other learn new words. that are on our window. We can read them, sound them out and write them.
