Self Portraits

At the beginning of the year we drew self-portraits.

Self Portraits

On Friday we made playdough. We had to mix flour, salt, oil and water together. We did a vote to choose the colour. We made it red. We then got to play with it.

By Room 2

Playdough is a good way for children to work on their fine motor skills. We use playdough in the classroom to make numbers and letters. We also use it with playdough mat during maths time. These mats ask us to make a certain amount of things so we learn to count objects.

Blowing Bubbles

Developing our fine motor skills

Today we played with a range of resources, mini fruit, cars and animals and tweezers. The point of this activity was to develop our fine motor skills, which will help us hold our pencils correctly while we are writing. It also helped us to sort objects into colour, type and size. We had lots of fun taking turns and cheering our friends on when they had their turn.
